Southend Borough Cross Country

Last week students took part in the Borough Cross Country tournament at Blenheim Park. Students competed in teams of ten against all of the other schools in the Southend area. As per usual the cross country course was wet and muddy but the STM boys worked hard in the various age groups, recording some excellent team scores and coming away with some fantastic individual achievements.

Special mentions:

•A special mention to our Sixth Form Girls Team who came away in 3rd place and Lucy Kidwell in Year 12, coming 2nd place in the sixth form race.

•Congratulations to Sam Norris who came first in the Year 9 race, winning the gold medal in his race comfortably.

•An outstanding performance from Joseph Trim who received the silver medal in the Year 8 race after a really gutsy run!
