Year 8 Hakka Festival Performance

16 of our Year 8 Gifted and Talented PE students have spent the last 6 weeks learning the Hakka Dance with a dance instructor from Active Essex in PE lessons. The students progressed impressively week by week and after some excellent feedback from their instructor, were formally invited by Active Essex to perform at the opening ceremony of the primary games at Garons Tennis and Leisure Centre this week.
The students performed their 7 minute routine in front of hundreds of primary students and parents. It was a great way to start the ceremony and the boys wowed the audience with their timing, lifts and turns.
Well done to all boys involved in the event, the students will now have the opportunity to perform at half time during a professional sporting tournament.
