St Thomas More High School

Ski Trip 2016

Once again another successful St Thomas More Ski Trip took place over the February half term, to the fantastic destination of Obertauern, Austria. Joined by 6 members of staff, 2 bus drivers and an Austrian Rep, the boys took to the slopes on a skiing adventure. Despite tough weather conditions and an immense amount of snow, the attitude and application of the group was incredible, at all ability levels.

Our beginner skiers made unbelievable progress throughout the week, developing into competent and confident skiers in just a matter of days. An already strong and able intermediate group, never stopped surprising their instructor, with the ability to conquer event the toughest of tests thrown at them. As for our advanced group, full of very talented skiers, managed to comfortably overcome the 2nd steepest slope in Austria, the famous Gamsleiten 2. A trip full of enjoyment, perseverance, and great memories. A fantastic group of boys, who did themselves, families and the school proud throughout the week. As always, we would like to thanks the boys, their families, as well as the school for their continued support of the Ski Trip.  A special thanks from myself to the staff that accompanied us on the trip, Mr Kearney, Mrs Griffiths, Mr Mulligan, Miss Ryan & Mr Nolde.

If there is anyone interested in going on the Ski Trip in 2017, please see Mr Harding for an interest letter.
