Diocesan Centenary Mass and Competition

It was a great privilege to attend the Diocesan Centenary Mass which took place in Brentwood Cathedral and was celebrated by Bishop Alan Williams together with many of the Diocesan priests.

Primary and Secondary schools from across the diocese were represented and it was a joyful occasion with lively music including one piece that had been written by a student.  We were able to take a small number of students and it was our competition winners who were selected to attend, Leo Quatermain who won the word entry, Thomas Soar for his art work and Ted Porter who was chosen from the winning musical entry of four Year 7 students, the remaining members of the band being Sonny Palmer, Bailey Keer and Liam Judge-Pietersz.  Leo, Sonny, Ted and Thomas are pictured here with the display that had been exhibited in the Cathedral Hall after Mass and one of the boys enjoying looking at some of the other works displayed.  Congratulations to all our winners for their entries.
