Year 7 National Cup football v St Martin’s (Won 2-1)

Despite a nervy display, the Year boys are through to the third round of the National cup having secured their ninth win of the season. It was probably their worst performance of the year yet they battled hard to overcome a determined and spirited opposition.  A first half goal from Abere gave us a lead at half time although we failed to build on this in the second half and despite heroics from Oli Robinson in goal, St Martin’s equalised with 10 minutes to go. However, the Tommy More boys showed great resilience and were rewarded with the winning goal courtesy of Tommy Salter’s fantastic finish from Robinson’s long goal kick. Well done to all the boys and thank you to all who supported on the side lines.
