STM basketball team were crowned County Champions. The team had qualified for the play offs after some excellent basketball performances over the course of the season. They met their local rivals, Shoebury in the first game, beating them 58-51.

The boys had only 30 minutes to recover before playing the season favourites, Palmers College in the final. The game was closely contested throughout the first half and STM were 13 points down in the third quarter, however after some key time outs and strong words from Coach Lettieri STM battled their way back into the game, finally winning 86-83!
