St Thomas More High School

More success for ‘Ti Health’ at the county finals.

The Young Enterprise team attended the county finals, last night the 27th April. At the County Final the team were one of six winning Area finalists vying for prizes: nearly 40 schools entered from across the county and on the night they collected two awards including the prestigious Judges' Prize. They faced extremely tough competition from five other schools from across Essex, and they did St Thomas More proud.

They were, as always, great ambassadors for the school, and I am certain that each and every one of team are going places in life. They have been a team who were driven from the get go, and this has been evidenced in each of the five trophies they have won this year. Although they have not reached the national finals, they weren’t far off and they have gained invaluable experience from being a part of this company programme. It will most definitely open doors for many of them in the future. I have been delighted to have had the pleasure to mentor this group this year and I will be sad to see the liquidation of Ti Health in the coming month.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the group themselves for being so dedicated and passionate, they have worked so well together and are a credit to, and represent everything this school stands for. I would like to thank their parents for showing so much support throughout the year, you have been fantastic and you should also be very proud of what they have achieved together. I would also like take this opportunity to thank Miss A Ryan who has been there with us throughout the year and who has also made this experience possible for the group, Mrs A Lindsay for her help and support throughout and last but not least Mr John Foster, Governor here at St Thomas More. He has offered help, guidance and support in abundances to the group during group meetings and we are lucky to have such a knowledgeable and well versed business advisor who has been there and done it all when it comes to the world of business.

So again congratulations to the team and all the best in your exams and future careers! It’s been a pleasure!

Thank you,

Miss D McCague
