World Book Day - 2nd March 2017

Thursday, 2nd March 2017 marked the 20th anniversary of World Book Day and we celebrated by offering our Year 7 students a morning of literacy based activities in the hall. The students were absolutely outstanding all morning and took part in a number of tasks all focused around their favourite books. We asked students to rank some of their favourites and give their reasons, their answers ranged from the ever popular Harry Potter series right through to the Lord of the Rings. George Buckingham (7S) won the first prize of the day for his fantastic Harry Potter costume and design.

‘SMASHED’ Drug and Alcohol Workshop - Years 7 & 8

This morning, we welcomed Collingwood Learning into our school for the ‘SMASHED’ project.  The aim was to raise awareness of the impact and risks of alcohol use in an interactive assembly.  During this visit Sir David Amess (MP) also attended to watch the performance and the message that went out to our year 7 and 8 pupils.  Ms Worby, Pupil and Community Support Officer.

Disney Land Paris Business & ICT Trip - February 2017

This week saw the return of 30 year 12 business and ICT students from their trip to Disney Land Paris. Students had the opportunity to come face to face with speakers from high profile companies such as Innocent and Super Dry who provided relevant and memorable examples and case studies which will be useful in both their course work and forth coming exams.
