Silver DOE Practice Weekend

This weekend saw our silver D of E students participating in their practice weekend. Which they did amazingly well on. They gelled excellently as a team and really encouraged and supported each other in all areas of the weekend. They showed excellent map reading and navigation skills, which meant they never got lost! This weekend we were just South of East Grinstead. We walked past and around some beautiful lakes, manor houses and even managed to see some vintage steam engines that where running along the bluebells vintage train line that is there.
Back at camp the students worked well in putting up their tents and cooking together as a team. It was also really nice seeing them interacting together and creating their own entertainment. Since they were without any electrical devices.

I would finally just like to say thank you to Mrs Lewis and Mr Clunn for giving up their weekend to come and help on this trip. I am looking forward to July when they complete their assessment part of the expedition.
