On Tuesday of this week 150 year 9 boys took part in the Real Business Challenge.
The RBC is designed to help students develop and demonstrate enterprise skills, and in particular to develop teamwork, problem-solving, creative thinking, leadership, financial capability, and business acumen.
They had to work in teams to develop a healthy fruit juice drink and the standard was extremely high.
I had some sixth form mentors that helped out on the day including:
- Fran Keogh
- Anthony NG
- Kayleigh Rayson
- Bea Stone
- Harvey Green
- Tim CHurcher
- Carl Renner
- Emma Thamba
- Blane Pearson
- Elise Prosser
- Kieran Laking-Morris
Their help was invaluable and made the day a success.
The winning team developed an exciting mango and pineapple drink called FruitBlast and will go forward to represent the school in the regional heats.
The team consisted of:
- Lewis Dye
- Matthew McCorley
- Ryan Hayes
- Bilal Hussain
- Jake White
- Rosh John
- Ruben Curtis
We keep our fingers crossed that they are successful in getting to the regional finals. Good luck and congratulations.
