The 1^st XI Football Team progressed to the Quarter Final of the Essex Cup with a 5-2 win away to Helena Romanes. Falling behind to a sloppy goal, Afreh responded with two goals in 5 minutes to give the side a lead at half time. Poor focus allowed Helena Romanes back into the game straight after the break but this woke up the side. Playing a new 3-5-2, the extra man in the middle helped on a very boggy side as Ndoro played his best game of the season. Morgan broke and played in Akinpelu for as STM took the lead again. An OG and Hammond rounded off the scoring and put the side into the Quarter Final. This is their second Quarter Final of the season. Attention now turns back to the league next week with the visit of Chelmsford.
