British Science Week: 13th - 19th March 2018

British Science Week ran in school this week for students in years 7-9 and the participants were super scientists! The students were enthusiastic, engaged and produced some fantastic and imaginative work.

The theme of this year’s British Science Week was exploration and discovery and the boys explored and discovered with all the enthusiasm they could muster!

They produced keyrings, pyramids and other objects made from plastic milk, tomato aerial carriers; they packed food for a polar expedition, debated the pros and cons of voice activated technology and tested the best materials for an astro nappy!

Rotary Youth Speaks Competition

 Congratulations to our intermediate public speaking team who competed on Wednesday evening in the District round of the Rotary Youth Speaks Competition.  The event took place in the Essex County Council Chambers in Chelmsford which is a rather imposing venue.  Our team consisted of Heshan Mahendra 8G as chairperson, Enzo Rossi-Dowman 7S as main speaker, and Callum Huan 7D as the proposer of the vote of thanks.

Y12 Business Disneyland Trip 2018

The year 12 Business Studies, Disney Paris trip got back safely on Wednesday evening. We all had a fantastic time on the trip. I would like to commend all of the year 12 students who were on the trip for their exemplary behaviour, proud of them. I would also like to thank Mr and Mrs Pacey for all their hard work and support on this trip. I really appreciate it.
